The Activation
During a season of my life back in 2007, I was pregnant with my eldest son—at my lowest point, I began to attend Church heavily because I felt the only to a better path was allowing Jesus into my life. One Sunday during Church Service, an Elder prophesied to me and over my life—how I am going to become a Business Woman. I received the Good News but I didn’t quite understand the HOW, let alone WHEN. My life continued on and I tried to keep that gifted message at the forefront of my mind and in my heart. Later, I landed the greatest job opportunity I could imagine at that time, one where I didn’t feel qualified for because I was overlooked many times but God intervened in such a way, I knew it was only by His hand! In 2008, my Employer relocated me from Fayetteville, NC to Charlotte, NC along with my 1-year old son where I felt activated to find my niche within the Company. Finances and Human Resources were my Top Picks so I went back to College to complete my Bachelors in Business Administration specializing in Management but I struggled landing positions in those Department due to lack of experience.
The Epiphany
It wasn’t until after shortly marrying my now-Husband, when we agreed to attend Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University that I felt the prophecy unfolding. This class ignited a fire in my soul that I couldn’t shake! My interest peaked to new levels regarding managing Personal Finances. Eager to get discplined, we made up our minds and put in an effort to do better with our finances. It even made our marriage stronger because we had some trying moments coming together! During our financial journey, I excitedly shared our progress with pretty much anyone who’d listen :) I truly wanted people I came in contact with to know about the possibility of managing their own money and executing their financial goals. No more wondering “Where did all my money go??”, “I don’t understand why I’m living paycheck to paycheck!!”, "I can never save my money because I keep transferring it back to my Checking Account!”. Then, I had this crazy thought (better known as the Holy Spirit) of how Dave Ramsey offers a Financial Coach Mastery Training and how I should go for it so I can be a light to those who are in need, to help people know they already have the strength to make the first step, like me, and change their relationship with money. But, insecurity, doubt, fear flooded my emotions so I reluctantly pushed it to side…
The Calling
We were later blessed with 2 more beautiful children and in early 2020 that same thought surfaced again (better known as the Holy Spirit nudging again). This time I listened and took action by taking the first step—attending the Financial Coach Mastery Training. After graduating, life still felt heavy with ongoing responsibilities such as caring for our newborn and 1 year old son at the time, plus adjusting to the pandemic. I didn’t feel ready to take the next step but then something shifted in 2021 (Philippians 1:6). I asked God to help me take each and every step and He did—from my Business Name and the logistics… He has been right here by my side! Feeling His presence so strongly has boasted my confidence and broke that stronghold of fear because He reminded me how this Business is bigger than me. I have gifts and talents people need and I must be willing to share, I truly want to empower others because they are not alone…you are not alone in this! Dealing and trying to manage day-to-day financial struggles can be extremely heavy. So, mentally make the decision today and decide to allow me to help you throughout this process…
